innisfree face cleansing tissue

This August, about one week into my summer vacation, I had a massive breakout on my face. One big spot persisted for weeks. I couldn’t get rid of it!

Not having had to get up early in the morning, I had stayed up late and fallen asleep without washing my face! Big no-no! I usually take amazing care of my skin, but falling asleep with all my clothes on and a face full of makeup I admittedly do the odd time.

Enter the face cleansing tissue. Now I don’t condone skipping washing your face, but a packet of face wipes can come in handy the odd time you can’t get to a bathroom to wash the day off. And washing your face in bed can be fun, right? They are also great to keep in your bag for emergencies.

Alternatively, you can use a facial wipe to get your makeup off before cleansing. However, the less tugging and pulling at your skin the better, so I wouldn’t recommend it in your daily skin routine.

I picked up these face tissues at innisfree, which is a South Korean brand. They are actually one of the oldest skincare companies to come out of South Korea, and last week I bought quite a few products to try out. The tissues were recommended by the saleslady as one of their bestselling items. They are pretty unique because I haven’t seen any with organic olive oil anywhere before. Facial tissues can be quite drying, but these are very moisturizing. For these wipes, they do suggest using a cleanser afterwards to rinse off excess oil. They are quite nice.

I did a search and most online beauty stores carry a few different types of facial wipes. Some are specifically for taking off makeup and others are for cleansing, and some are for both. There are a few for brightening as well.

I’ve always felt that reaching out for tissues to take make up off my face is not the best option and try to stick to the double cleanse method. Which doesn’t mean that I don’t ever use tissues, especially if I’m traveling – after a long day out I want something quick and hassle-free. The innisfree tissues got me interested.
